• Job Description: Occasionally, the Oz-Roof team goes a little further than roof restorations in Brisbane and heads a bit further up north. This substantial home was only around 20 years old. The original concrete shingle tiles were quite faded, and about three years ago, the owner engaged another company to undertake a roof restoration. Over the following three years, the owner noticed something not quite right with the roof coating. It faded quite quickly, no longer resembling the Woodland Grey colour it was selected to be. In some places, the roof coating even started to peel.
• Unfortunately, in the world of Brisbane roof restoration, we are seeing this situation more often. It is usually a result of the contractor not undertaking the restoration correctly. Likely, it’s a combination of inadequate roof cleaning, poor or no primer, and the selection of low-quality, low-cost products for the roof coating.
  
  

  We quickly got to work, pressure cleaning and repointing. Finally, we re-coated the roof with one heavy coat of Dulux Hi-Build primer and two subsequent coats of Dulux Woodland Grey. The results were quite spectacular, as is always the case with a shingle roof restoration done properly.
