Yes. All popular Colorbond colours are available. Sometimes a roof will have different colour gutters to the roof surface and in these cases we are able to order the gutter guard with colour matched to the roof and the gutter angle bead in the same colour as the gutters.

There is no risk at all of water ingress during the gutter guard install. On Colorbond or metal roofs there is no part of the roof that needs to be opened or moved to allow for the installation. On a tiled roof we often need to move tiles around to place the gutter guard between the roof tiles. The tiles are never left out of place for any period of time or over night.

As always this depends on the size and scope of the job. Assuming a single storey house with reasonable access and a gutter run of around 70 metres or less, the job would generally be completed in two days. The same tiled roof equivalent would generally take an additional day for gutter guard installation as the tiled valleys take significant longer. Gutter guard to valleys takes the longest of all so if a roof has a particularly high number of valleys it will generally take more time for the gutter guard install.

The gutters will be virtually maintenance free. We do recommend clients have a battery operated leaf blower and blow any leaves off the gutter guard surface to maintain waterflow. The gutters will remain completely free of debris and objects. With the 1.9mm aperture (hole size) of the gutter guard only dust will make its way into the gutters and this is generally rinsed through with the next heavy rain.

Doing both these tasks at the same time certainly has benefits. Obviously the home owner only has the one event of tradesmen working in their home. The other advantage is that gutter guard can be installed instantly as gutters are installed and this prevents any debris from ever falling into the gutters and requiring clean out.

Nothing is vermin proof but having gutter guard certainly helps. At the roof edge where a roof tile or Colorbond roof sheeting enters the gutter there are always small holes between the ups and downs of the tiles / sheeting. The gutter guard effectively denies access to the area and makes it much harder for any vermin to enter the roof space.
